Just not a pushover character and one who can stand his ground and is also assertive and mostly pragmatic with his decision making, just pounding pussy doesn't make a good MC... when I wrote he (Sterling) is stupid it didn't mean that I wanted an MC to be a chad or Alpha male.Being the audience's surrogate for the story as the protagonist, and all events impact primarily him without any real agency in those events, as opposed making the decisions that drive the story forward... So yeah, Sterling has literally all the required qualities of being a Main Character, and is therefor this game's Main Character.

Personally I don't hate him, my headcanon was just a way to improve the NTR ending of Kevin of Chapter 12. As I found it was lacking in the NTR aspects. Me and Fayn Arry suggest improvments in order to make it better. That was it.

I dont think its hate for him particularly, more so the game itself plays like a comedy/over-written sitcom. The dev made alot of creative choices that personally feel like a miss for me. The saving grace is the models/sex scenes.
